The hypercalcified rostra of Lamna are most similar to those of putative otodontids. This suggests that it probably present in the otodontid-lamnid common ancestor and the lamnid common ancestor, but subsequently reduced in Carcharodon and Isurus.

Teeth are situated within bone. They are literally right next door to each other and they serve entirely different functions. There is no bone marrow. Bone does not have a hypercalcified shell (enamel). It’s a fairly elementary concept

Rostrum is hypercalcified and Lamna-like with "the face of a porbeagle" according to Greenfield, Cooper's 2d model snout is taller and has more depth. Possible that Cooper's version may be slightly closer to how it looked irl (though not completely). Probably in between imo.

This is heavily related. It's bad positive feedback loops in society, particularly in childhood education. Macroscopic hypercalcified positive feedback loops are very hard to fix 😢

It's such a shame most of the smartest ppl always go to the most "basic" stuff like physics & math, instead of e.g. applied social cybernetics & education I lowkey kinda feel like we're just gonna keep cycling through dark ages until society figures out some way to change this🙃
