I am incredibly proud of our team at Indeed for this policy supporting trans employees and parents of trans kids who are facing the incredibly difficult decision to leave their homes in search of support and safety. Our leadership team supported this policy, but the real story is that our extraordinary employees led the charge for this support.
Members of Indeed's iPride & Gender Identity IBRG (Inclusion Business Resource Group) raised concerns about our policies supporting transgender and gender-expansive employees and their families, especially in light of recent legislation targeting the trans community. iPride Co-Chairs for the Americas Abby Holtfort and Conor Pfeifer reached out to me and other leaders with the concerns of the community, sharing in depth research, data, and a set of concrete proposals that could help our employees and their families.
These issues are so complex and personal, we could not build the company we all want to be a part of without the leadership and collaboration from our extraordinary team members.
