During STEM lessons this week, Year 6 startedย their new project by attempting an Escape Room designed by Mr Murphy. They were close to escaping in the time limit and worked well as a team! Year 6 will be designing their own Escape Rooms over this term. #KPSSTEM #KPSinspire

#EngineersWeek was extended to include the Kindergartners in a "sweet" activity on Thursday! Students were tasked to use the engineering design process to brainstorm boat designs out of aluminum foil that would hold as many candies as possible! #kpsstem #girlsinstem

The Primary School participated in its first robotics season this year! Two teams of five girls competed in the Wonder League Robotics Competition. BOTH teams qualified for the Invitational Round in March! Only 460 teams (out of 7000 ) qualified! #kpsstem #girlswhocode

Middle Schoolers were treated to a visit from @amazon engineers during their #HourofCode. Students coded a dance party using block programming, they drew a Landscape using basic Python coding language, and some created customized blueprints to work with Amazon Alexa! #kpsstem

The MS STEM elective held a catapult competition in the STEM lab. Students designed and built catapults in groups, then had a competition to see whose catapult could launch the most pennies into various containers of different sizes! #kpsstem
