My remarks at the #LAProtest for freedom in Iran today: Love and Freedom for Iran. (Addressed from Washington DC). Hello Los Angeles from Washington DC I wish I were with you in person on this #ValentineDay to celebrate love but I am with you in heart and soul. Today we are at a cross road for the Iranian people between a past of oppression, of pain, of lack of liberty under the Islamic Regime in Iran, and the journey of liberation that you are on. Your people have suffered too long from the Khomeinist machine, the IRGC and the Basij, the Middle East has suffered too long from Hezbollah, Houthis and other militias. The world has suffered too long from the regime’s terror. Now is the time for the liberation of Iran and of the Middle East. Your people lost tens of thousands of men and women, your country has lost all its freedoms for too long. Your youth, women, and society are paying a high price in blood and life. It has to stop, it has to end. The American people see you and stand with you. The free societies in the Middle East are waiting for you to succeed to follow your path. If asked, Americans will not side with this regime against you. If asked they will and are siding with you to attain freedom. When Iran will be free, it will change the entire Middle East. Freedom will come to Lebanon, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, and beyond. The Peace that started with the #AbrahamAccords will be completed with the #CyrusAccord. Peace and freedom are there at the horizon, we can see them, we can feel them. But the Khomeinist machine has to go. The free world that experienced Bolshevism, Nazism, Jihadism and Khomeinism cannot abandon the people of a great nation and an ancient civilization and above all cannot abandon the courageous people of Iran. The regime has gone too far in violence, the genocide is expanding, and no signs of relief yet by the international community. Some Governments are even considering trade and businesswith the regime, even after at least 40,000 Iranians murdered. Unacceptable. The free world must free Iran, every day and every hour are bringing death. There is NO BASE FOR A DEAL, no base for any deal. The only moral and human outcome is the exit of the regime and transferring power to a democratic multiethnic transitional Government. Iranians knows who their leader and representatives are. Future elections will produce a government, a constitution and branches of power. Iranians will decide, outside and inside the country. For us friends of Iran our role is to support the Iranian people, the Iranian diaspora and the Transitional Government. There is no going back. I am calling on our Congress, on our administration, and particularly on our president, @realDonaldTrump, who promised that help is on the way and who encouraged Iranians to demonstrate, seize their institutions and identify their oppressors, I am calling on him to save the Iranian people. Mr President, America is with you, Iranian Americans and Mideast Americans are with you, the freedom loving people in the world are with you, TO MAKE HISTORY. You are the only world leader who can bring justice to Iran and peace to the Middle East and the world. Americans and Iranians are praying to see you and world leaders in Tehran this year, in a free Iran
