archive.org is the safest place in my experience. Just search for 'ROM Pack' followed by the system (e.g. ROM Pack NES) and it should be the first result. They always seem to work flawlessly with Launchbox so you won't have to do any fiddling about get it working.

It used to be a bit fiddly but it's easier than ever today. Install Launchbox, download ROM pack, Launchbox automatically downloads, installs and configures the emulator. Nothing complicated about that!

Right now the prospect of the PC-versions (and others) are still on the "we'll see"-side of priority according to the video's end In meantime, you could use Launchbox or other PC-frontends to make launching of games less of a hassle not be around Retroarch for everything

An emulator with save states does just that for me, I don’t have to try and get through Batman Returns without dying anymore! LaunchBox and the emulators mostly support RetroAchievements.org really well. Leaderboards and everything.

It's Launchbox, and I bought the $30 premium, BigBox UI. It has dozens of interactive themes, and all have native controller support to navigate. This emulator for 360 is Xenia.

The device itself is fine. The hardware is unremarkable… it’s more the “platform” that helps you manage your collection on an optimized emulation multi platform. The biggest issue is its outrageous cost… but you gotta give them a little grace. They aren’t a big company and they can’t take advantage of much volume savings and from what I understand, their delays probably cost them a lot of unbudgeted development costs and you gotta recoup that to pay your crew. I always thought they would have a much better time making the platform purchasable and just use it as a highly tuned emulation software like Launchbox. As far as hardware goes, there are just too many options out there, mostly FPGA that are worth considering. At its core, the selling point is the ability to dump your own cartridges, but you don’t need this device to do that. What I can praise is, from watching streams and such of people using it, the platform works well and seems easy to use.

The audio from Retroarch is still shit. Fuck it. I'm gonna uninstall it and replace it with LaunchBox.
