ADA lightwallets rebranded and shifted from one to another. Likely that

2/3 What is this Calidus Pool-Key? So, @adamKDean and i created something for you: The Calidus Pool-Key is used to identify/authorize pool ownership for public/private services without the need to go thru a VRF-Secret-Key signing process. This was only possible on the CLI and SPOs don't like to touch there secret keys that often. The Calidus Pool-Key can be used on the cli AND with LightWallets directly in the Browser for Identification/Login/Authorization/etc. If you wanna update to a new Calidus Key, just generate a new one and register it for the pool. You only need to sign the registration metadata once with your Stakepool Cold-Key, after that you can use the Calidus Key for various services on a daily base. No need to use the Stakepool Cold-Key or the VRF Secret-Key anymore. The signing/verification is done on the CIP8/30 messageSign protocol and is therefore also compatible with Stakepool Cold Keys on the Hardware-Wallet. Its a standard ed25519 signing/verification in the end, so there are plenty of libs available for the integration in own services/dApps.

My DRep-Introduction on the Cardano-Forum: forum.cardano.org/t/martin-l… Please check it out. If you wanna delegate to me as your technical DRep, here are some links on how to do it with popular LightWallets: Eternl-Wallet x.com/ATADA_Stakepool/status… Typhon-Wallet x.com/ATADA_Stakepool/status… Daedalus-Wallet x.com/ATADA_Stakepool/status… ------- forum.cardano.org/t/martin-l…
⚡️I am a Cardano Developer / Ambassador / SPO / DRep ⚡️ I am a technical DRep that will always look after the chain and the parameters. Also, i will always stand up by voting agains treasury funds "burning" or doing any other BS with the treasury money. There are so many real usage cases for treasury funds, but not such things as meme coins imo. Ig you think i am going to make wise decisions also in your behalf, you can vote delegate to my DRep-ID: drep1mkmnzmtlflcadyyy7g6ju3sn9ppcrut5wn73x00mfwmw642g5qy like shown in the atttached picture. or with you own prefered wallet. thank you very much! 🙏 best regards, martin

🔥 New release: cardano-signer 1.15.1 github.com/gitmachtl/cardano… This update includes the Constitutional Commitee Member (Conway/Governance) Key generation for Cold and Hot Keys. You can use --path cc-cold and --path cc-hot to generate those keys now. They are derived from the new derivation paths 1852'/1815'/0'/4/0 and 1852'/1815'/0'/5/0. You can use also these direct paths of course. The generated mnemonics can also later be used with LightWallets like @eternlwallet or @TyphonWallet Also a little update on parameter name checks: If an unknown parameter is entered (was an issue for optional ones), cardano-signer now throws an error.

🔥 New release: cardano-signer 1.14.0 github.com/gitmachtl/cardano… This update includes the dRep (Conway/Governance) Key generation. You can use '--path drep' to generate dRep Keys from the new derivation path 1852'/1815'/0'/3/0. Or you can use of course the path itself. The generated mnemonics can also later be used with LightWallets like @eternlwallet or @TyphonWallet Also a little update in regards of the extended keys: The flag '--with-chain-code' was replaced with '--vkey-extended'. Which should be a much clearer naming. By default, the generated public keys are normal non-extended ones.

There are many applications for this. Normally you only sign transactions with your wallet-key. But, what if you wanna use it to login to a website, like jpegstore or summon dao is doing it. Or if you wanna prove that you are the owner of an address. Or if you wanna participate in voting like sundaelabs is doing it. There is the need to not only sign a transaction, or a delegation. With CIP30 you can sign any given data, and the application can verify it. CIP30 was created as one of the connection points (api) between dApps and the LightWallets. But the data Signing currently only works with such "normal" wallets, not with Hardware-Wallets. This proposal will close that gap.

I dont want to say that @the_ape_society doesnt add any value with that proposal at all, as more competion is always better for the customer, but in my opinion the requested funds are WAY to high for whats promised here, as we already have multiple good lightwallets.

We had brief explanation into a PR made to Zebra. A few useful 📊mempool metrics that've been trialed in Zcashd if found to be useful, both Zebra & Zcashd can merge! Next phase for Zebra will be integrating the changes ECC have made to enable 🔀DAGSync for lightwallets.

For clarity, what I mean by dApp load is the batcher queue of various DEXs A similar, but not same, example is the blockfrost queue that most lightwallets had when people were minting NFTs, you'd get in a line (blockfrost) for another line (chain).

Lightwallets send a pruned version of the txs to their clients. Enough for them to identify and decrypt the amounts. Memos are omitted. If a client needs them, it has to request them individually. That reveals the IP because they will just ask their txs

Setup a LN Node? More disingenuous tribal bullshit. There are numerous lightwallets that take 30 seconds to set up.

/mainnet.lightwalletd.com:9067 has been acting up recently for lightwallets (Zecwallet-lite, Nighthawk, YWallet, ...). Don't tell anyone but I put up a LWD instance at /zuul.free2z.cash:9067 and it's running nice. NO GUARANTEES.

You will need to have about 50-60gb storage set aside for it. Daedalus is a full node, which mean If you still want to use lightwallets you can get submit-api and send the transactions through your Daedalus-node (@pernistoken had a YT guide floating around earlier).
