ALT Located in the Grand Tetons National Park. This tiny chapel was built in 1925 on land donated by Maud Noble. It is still a functioning Episcopal church, though seasonally. It was constructed so the early settlers would not have to make the long ride into Jackson for Sunday services. The structure also served guests and employees of the dude ranches that stretched north of Jackson along the base of the Teton Range.

This project was the last home built by legendary log builder B. Allan Mackie.
Located in Ontario, Mackie was in this 80’s when this project was completed - a testament to his lifelong love of building majestic log structures.

This is the ‘Gatehouse’ entry to the Mackie School, BC. Several truss designs are used to support this roof assembly, described by its several parts; trusses, supporting purlins & rafters, & supporting nailers to which hand split cedar shakes are nailed.

We opted for a centuries old, European formula of natural hydrated lime, sand, and water.
