This government is really afraid of our young adults.
Maybe they know stopping #Makeit16 meant all those turning 18 before the election will be voting them out.

A significant number of 16 year olds work either part or full time. Taxation without representation is wrong. There are plenty of other decisions we let 16 year olds make - sex, driving, medical decisions, criminal responsibility. Ticking a ballot isn't that hard #makeit16.

The reason the government won't consider making voting legal for 16–17-year-olds is because they don't believe it would benefit them. This decision shouldn't be about self-interest. A courageous government would add it to a referendum, letting the people have a say. #makeit16

NAT, ACT & NZF all campaigned against lowering the voting age and got 52.8% of all votes
Makeit16 want 16-18 yr olds to be heard, by ignoring 52.8% of voters

Such deceitful intent - The Greens endorsed this movement from the onset, it is a matter of record on the makeit16 website. The Greens have driven mandatory climate change emergency fear indoctrination in schools, now they want these 16 years to vote Green "to save the planet"
