If you're interested in the tabletop, a mapsheet, a few 'Mech miniatures, a pair of dice, and a few printed sheets are all it takes. As for lore, there's tons of easy to access videos and reading materials, many of which I'd be happy to supply sources for.

If it is a light scout tank, then the battlefields of the Dark Age of technology must have been flatter than the paper a BT Mapsheet is printed on.

And if that is so, it may border any mapsheet at any time...

I got 'em, I'll use 'em. 3D terrain is nice and all, but it's a pain to try and make different biomes when you can use a mapsheet.

is that one mapsheet or two mapsheet size? a Battlemat (2 map sheet size) costs me between 40 and 55 €. Mappacks are a bit cheaper, 30-40. there are 3 or was it 4 mapsheets inside?

Update on the prototype home printable Battletech Red Action mapsheet before work drags me away. The river is about halfway done, with shallow crossings to keep the map accessible. I'm thinking some small tree clusters here and there to round it out after that. Thoughts?

Here's a glimpse of my first home printable mapsheet. How does it look so far?

I would be interested. Just have a printable guide and each mapsheet labled clearly so players know how each printed piece goes together. The mapsheets should be broken up into multiple sheets

The biggest issue with LAMs is not fragility, its playability. The distances a LAM can cover are too big for a standard two mapsheet battletech game, and the aerospace/battletech integration is unplayable.

GAZ6 "The Dwarves of Rockhome" featured a mapsheet with geomorphs you could use to design a dwarven city, with multiple square shaped districts you could lay out and connect together. You might find this a source of inspiration.

And unlike the creased up sheets you'd get elsewhere, I mail them in heavy duty cardboard tubes to ensure a clean, untarnished mapsheet.

That's the goal. I am working on painting up some example models now, along with my own take on the Overlord Dropship. Some models are already available, with more on the way, as well as brand new terrain mapsheet sets.

You're thinking about it in a vacuum. On a mapsheet, the VTOL is basically confined with a box. So to get that TMM it'll be forced to move in undesirable directions, potentially into close range with enemy units.

Right now the Pouce/Valhalla mapsheet is an absolute fucking disaster, mostly owing to CNRL who will never swap a section. I wonder what they’d need to let go of those sections cause it's definitely not money. Part of me thinks if Birchcliff and Advantage teamed up and bought Kelt, then the rest of the pimply operators in the area they could swap Kelt for the rest of Valhalla. Now this works great on a map in reality it'll never happen in a literal trillion years but it's nice to think about. I'd want to actually own that pro forma company.

The first mapsheet is complete. High quality, with excellent color definition, detail and quality. It comes out exactly to Battletech scaling, and is printed on durable 46 lb. matte paper. Orders to open soon! #Battletech

At a suggestion, I've created the first open map in my collection, a vast crater with high sides and a wide open center with gentle rises and falls. Perfect for a dueling arena or holdout point against adjacent mapsheet positions. Thoughts? #Battletech

Per full size, 15x17 hex mapsheet. It comes in two parts but is the same product. I can do better. If you want a specific type of mapsheet, a certain terrain or environment, I can make it!
