Exactly my point. Also if something were to happen to whatever sitting president the vice president of course is sworn in as president. Said vice president can still run twice after that.

Nah you're cool. My response was assuming if you don't win consecutive terms (win 1, lose 1) you could run a 3rd time but obviously a president could choose to skip a term and still only run twice. So you are right that they wouldn't have to win consecutively to only run twice.

It's not incorrect. You can run for president as many times as you are elected by your party. Once you win twice you can no longer run again. When someone wins consecutive terms they cannot run for 3rd. Trump could only run a 3rd time bc he lost to Biden. ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
