near Kumbakonam,Tamilnadu,I met this old Pandit ji( Kurukkal). People who visit Oothukkadu Sri Krishnar Koil don't even visit this Siva temple which is just 200 feet away.
Kurukkal is a Widower,aged 75.
Son,Ashok (42),bachelor..continuing his father's noble profession,Temple Kaingaryam in Kumkuma Nayaki Samedha Sri Kailasanathar Temple,Oothukkadu.
Father and son live in a 15x10 room doing self cooking.
Father resting at home in a chair suffering from breathlessness and ( Inguinal) hernia.
Like an old sparrow,perched onto a branch of an old tree,unable to take up any more flight,due to old age and fatigue,after spending its life time,awaiting its end,Kirubasankaran Jagadeesan,also awaiting help to pull on his life with his son.
No income... other than 10 rupees and 20 rupees,daily. He has a button phone. Both son and father are very soft spoken,god fearing and very loving.

We found the perfect spot to watch the sun go down over Zagreb — the famous Strossmayer Promenade next to Lotrščak Tower. Here’s what we’re enjoying right now:
📮 Top-left: The breathtaking panoramic view over the entire city at sunset — red rooftops, Zagreb Cathedral’s spires and the distant hills all bathed in golden light. This is widely considered one of the best viewpoints in the whole city.
📮 Top-right: Strossmayer Promenade itself — built in the 19th century and named after Bishop Josip Juraj Strossmayer. This romantic tree-lined walkway with old lanterns offers one of the most beautiful sunset experiences in Zagreb.
📮 Bottom-left: Lotrščak Tower at golden hour — constructed in the 13th century as part of the city’s defence system. Every day at noon a cannon is fired from here, a tradition dating back to 1877.
📮 Bottom-right: The elegant terrace where we’re sitting — perfect timing as the sun dips behind the hills and the city lights start to twinkle. The combination of history, nature and golden light is absolutely unforgettable.
This is easily one of the most beautiful moments of our entire roadtrip so far.
