This week’s Penn Ohio Racing weekly update…
Lernerville held two events this week, starting on Tuesday with Mini Stocks and Vintage cars racing as part of Testing Tuesday. Camden Frantz scored his second at the track in Small Car race 64, he trails Mike Phillipson by one point. Noah Wirginis won in the Vintage cars, his first in the division but second win at the track. Trivia - what division was his first win in? Answer later. Mark Flick leads the points. On Friday night, Jeremy Weaver was Sprint feature 1083 winner for his third in the division. Second place put A.J. Flick back into the point lead by one over Dan Shetler. In Late Model race 1008, it was Levi Yetter the 149thdifferent winner. He enters the win list page between Joe Yakich and Dave Yobe. Alex Ferree continues to lead the points. Garrett Krummert won for the second straight week in the Modified race 923, his third of the year and 18th in the division, getting to within two points of point leader Rex King, Jr. Cody Koteles won in the Pro Stock race 845 for his sixth at the track, as Brett Hutira leads the points. I attended Raceway 7 for their 2026 opener. There were
still soft spots around the grounds and a couple of rough spots on the new turns that were moved down. Joel Watson won E-Mod race 445 since 1995, his 66th in the division and 70th at the track. Winning his third straight in RUSH Late Model race 225 was Billy Henry, his 14th in the division and 24that the track. Kole Holden won his sixth at the track in RUSH modified race 47. In Econo Mod feature 188, it was Zack Eller with his fourth in the division, fifth at the track. It stopped Jacob Eucker’s win streak at seven. Branden Porter won the season’s first Crown Vic feature.
At Tri-City on Friday it was Brandon Matus stopping the two race winning streak of Brandon Spithaler. It was his fourth at the track in race 490 since 1968, and his first in nearly five years. Despite a DNF, Bob Felmlee is the point leader. Winning his eighth in RUSH Sprint feature 44 was Gale Ruth, Jr. over point leader Blaze Myers. In Pro Stock race 434 it was Curt J. Bish with his ninth in the division, taking a one point lead over Jake Whitling. In RUSH Stock Car race 17, point leader William Baker, Jr. won his seventh.
PPMS raced on Saturday with the annual Ed Laboon Memorial for the Pro Stocks and I attended. A.J. Poljak won the race for the first time, his 31st in the division. The current track point leader held off a late charge from Chris Schnieder for the win in division race 778. The RUSH Late Model winner was Brandon Burgoon in race 731, his 17th in the division and 32nd at the track. Burgoon swapped the lead several times in traffic with Jake Gunn, but Gunn settled for second but did take over the point lead. The RUSH Sprints visited and ran their 21st feature with John Mollick winning for the seventh time, and fourth straight. He now has 27 wins at the track with 16 in the crate lates and four in the late models. The Open Four winner in race 168 was Jakob Chipps, his seventh in the division, the third different winner in three races. Bill Tennant took the point lead. Winning for the second straight time in Young Gun race 328 was point leader Ryleigh Heasley.
Sharon completed their second show on Saturday. Sprint race 728 was a part of All Star Sprint Speedweek with Zeth Sabo becoming the 178th different winner in the division. Dale Blaney leads the points. The E-Mods raced for the second straight week with Ty Rhoades winning race 339 for his fifth in the division. With six Econo Mod wins he now has 11 wins at the track and took the point lead. I count all events for Sharon track points as they don’t run any kind of regular schedule nor do they track any kind of points.
For all of the above tracks, they have their own pages on our website with win lists and tons of info.
Tracks are next, which is actually other tracks. Attica and Hidden Valley raced on Friday. Good’s, Jennerstown, Marion Center, Painesville, and Stateline raced on Saturday. Eriez rained out on Sunday. Points and rosters for all of the above are updated on our Tracks page.

Phil Bozell and Zach Cook were next. Cook and Mark Shook are tied for the point lead. 39 drivers have raced with nine running both.
