as MLcore on PS5pro is base on RDNA3
means usage of it can not be simultan with render/shading, thats why they need to capped 40% uplift, because it need 2ms aka compute shader workload for ML upscale
FSR3.x similar they give ms cost because it is not free either.
it is claimed that PS5pro AI core atm
can only handle 2ms 1080p-4K=
closely similar perf with DLSS2 RTX2070
& wont support NG block compressed asset using ML,
Xbox otoh beside ML superres has 2 asset decompression, which is Zlib/LZ similar to Kraken & 😎bcpack which is ML based.
