3/9 Why May 17 Matters Historically
The date May 17, 2026 is significant in multipleways, including historical, biblical, and heavenly.
Historical and Legal Closure of 1776
Facing the might of the British Empire, America’s founders understood they could not lawfully severtheir covenant with the Crown and place the nation under Almighty God without first humbling themselves spiritually before the Sovereign of the Universe.
On May 17, 1776, the Continental Congress declared a national day of fasting, deep humility before God, and prayer. They called on the colonies to confess their sins as a people, seek God’s forgiveness, and ask for His protection as they moved toward independence. This spiritual act of placing the nation under God’s jurisdiction prepared the way for the legal and public Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.
Exactly 250 years later, the same sequence is repeating to bring the original covenant to its full historical and legal closure. The National Jubilee of Prayer is America’s solemn act of national humbling, withdrawing consent from the 1871 corporate system under British Admiralty Law, and returning to its founding 1776 covenant with God.
July 4, 2026 will mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the public celebration of America’s full restoration under God’s governance.
Biblical Calendar Alignment
May 17, 2026 marks the first day of the biblical month of Sivan. It was during this month that ancient Israel arrived at Mount Sinai, accepted the covenant of Almighty God YHWH, placed themselves under His jurisdiction as a nation, and received the Law (Exodus 19–24).
As America stands at its own “Sinai” in the biblical month of Sivan, the nation once again accepts its original 1776 covenant, and places itself under Almighty God YHWH’s jurisdiction.
The Moon as a Heavenly Witness
God created the moon to serve as one of His heavenly signs and a faithful witness in the sky (Genesis 1:14; Psalm 89:37). In the biblical calendar, the new moon marks the beginning of eachmonth. Sivan 1 begins at sundown on May 16, making May 17 the first day of a renewed cycle. The Jubilee Prayer occurs precisely at the first visible sliver of the new moon.
The Hebrew word for month, chodesh, carries the meaning of “new” or “renew”. Scripture associates the new moon with fresh starts, renewed covenants, and resetting under God’s order (Exodus 12:2; Numbers 10:10).
King Charles’ visit served as a formal royal acknowledgment of America’s legal fulfillment of the requirements needed to end the old Admiralty Law system. His visit concluded on April 30, 2026. This was immediately followed by a full moon on May 1 — a natural and symbolic marker signifying the completion of the old cycle (Isaiah 66:23).
While the full moon signals the ending of the old system, the thin new crescent on May 17 represents the first light of something new being born. Falling exactly on 1 Sivan with this brand-new moon, the Jubilee Prayer stands as a heavenly witness of renewal after a long period under Satan’s Admiralty system.
