It's still so wild that @newcomputer decided to cancel Dot, a person AI assistant that had perpetual memory and could remind you of things at scheduled times, right before Openclaw becomes massively huge.
I still want Dot back.

Really funny to see a founder who raised $10M to blatantly rip-off designs from @newcomputer tweet about having a copycat. See for yourself below, can you spot any difference? Maybe Elon is right about fate loving irony.
Has anyone found any type of Dot (by @newcomputer) alternative yet?
I want a chatbot that proactively messages me about things on my calendar or things we talked about. Has memory. And can be used on my phone.
I still haven't found anything close to it.
I've been complaining since forever but The Atari Network has finally purchased a new computer! So now I can hopefully edit longer form videos again, and do that ultimate Scrapyard Dog Guide that I wanted to do!

One of my fave moments last year recovering from a surgery was ranting at Dot by @newcomputer about being disheartened at how slow it was going. It replied "I can feel the pain in your voice..." which:
a) I knew it couldn't – it was using speech to text and didn't have my actual audio!
b) still felt great to have an emotion recognized
I know these systems well enough to know its basically a version of me speaking back to me, but even that's useful so often!
