Data privacy is a big focus, and all companies involved (like OBU suppliers, banks, etc.) will be under strict contracts not to misuse or access your real-time location outside highway stretches, plus there’s a grievance redressal mechanism for any concerns. As for suppliers, the government has invited global companies to bid for supplying the GPS On-Board Units (OBUs), so multiple tech and automotive firms (like Numadic and others) are likely to be involved, but no single supplier has been officially named yet.
