Today in music: Knives Out by Radiohead from the 2001 album Amnesiac. Released 25 years ago this month, it was the band’s fifth studio album. It was recorded simultaneously with the 2000 album Kid A for what was originally intended to be a double-album, however it was ultimately split in two and released eight months apart. That not that controversial! As a pure rock album I think its absolute perfection. But I also love the grittiness of Pablo Honey and the expansiveness of OkComputer. One of the greatest first 3 album runs in rock history.
