Dear Young Man, the real knowledge you need to succeed in life is not taught in schools.
Most of that knowledge will come from your experiences and studying the experiences of others.
What did they do to succeed?
How hard did they work?
Which mistakes did they make that you can avoid?
Degrees and Certificates are great and can improve your earning power significantly.
But there are a lot of people who are successful on paper but failures in life.
There are a lot of doctors and lawyers earning millions yearly but neck deep in debt. Because they keep spending way more than they earn and perhaps make terrible investment choices.
There are many billionaires who don’t have a university degree.
The world rewards the doers, the problem-solvers.
If you can solve a problem for 1 million people and they pay you $10 for it, you will be a millionaire ten times over.
Most times, degrees and certificates gives its holders a false sense of accomplishment that keeps them trapped in an illusion, making them badge holders, rather than problem-solvers.
While getting that degree is an accomplishment, being able to leverage it into a great career or solving problems through a business, is even a greater accomplishment.
If you don’t have any degrees or education, don’t fret.
While it might seem like a temporary handicap, realise that the game of life is played in the real world not behind campus walls.
Unlike in school where failure is punished and avoided, failure in the real world is just part of the learning process because it shows you what doesn’t work. It is a vital step on the road to success: figuring out what works.
The real world rewards a different set of skills: persistence, hard work, social skills and solving tangible day-to-day problems.
Get your hands dirty, if you must.
Learn real-world skills.
Meet new people. Build a solid work ethic. Develop a savings and investment habit. Curtail wastage of your precious time and money.
Fortunately, in today’s world, you can easily get any knowledge you seek.
Be hungry for real-world knowledge. Learn helpful skills via books, YouTube and courses but don’t learn for learning sake.
Learn to apply the lessons and grow your life.
You will win.
Udo. 🙏🏽❤️
