#sapsLIM [568 SUSPECTS ARRESTED ACROSS LIMPOPO DURING WEEKLY HIGH-DENSITY OPERATIONS]
The
#SAPS in Limpopo arrested 568 suspects for various offences during weekly high-density operations conducted across all five districts of the province from Monday, 08 June 2026 until Sunday, 14 June 2026.
The operations formed part of the enhanced crime prevention and combating initiatives aimed at addressing priority crimes, including murders, rapes, firearms-related offences,
#TrioCrimes, aggravated robberies,
#IllicitMining, and illegal liquor trading.
The suspects were arrested for a variety of offences, including possession of dangerous weapons, drug-related crimes, illegal dealing in liquor, robbery, murder, attempted murder, rape, assault, burglary, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, illicit mining, human trafficking, and contravention of immigration legislation.
The successes achieved during the operation are as follows:

▶️ 10 Dealing in drugs
▶️ 71 Possession of drugs
▶️ 77 Illegal dealing in liquor
▶️ 03 Business robberies
▶️ 03 Residential robberies
▶️ 04 Murder
▶️ 01 Attempted murder
▶️ 16 Rape
▶️ 66 Assault GBH
▶️ 60 Assault common
▶️ 03 Burglary business
▶️ 06 Burglary residential
▶️ 02 Theft of or from motor vehicles
▶️ 28 Malicious damage to property
▶️ 29 Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
▶️ 135 Illegal migrants
▶️ 27 Illicit mining
▶️ 02 Human trafficking
The following items were confiscated and recovered during the operations:
▶️ 01 Firearm
▶️ 03 Rounds of ammunition
▶️ 151 044.5 litres of alcoholic beverages
▶️ R200 cash
▶️ 19 Dangerous weapons
▶️ 211 295.3 kg of dagga
▶️ 10.7 grams of nyaope
▶️ 125 965.2 grams of crystal meth (tik)
▶️ 1 987 packets of tobacco products
▶️ 01 Motor vehicle
The operations included roadblocks, vehicle checkpoints, stop-and-searches, compliance inspections, tracing of wanted suspects, liquor inspections, and patrols in identified crime hotspots throughout the province.
The arrested suspects have already started appearing before various magistrates’ courts across Limpopo.
The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, commended all members, law enforcement agencies, government departments, community structures and stakeholders who participated in the operations for their continued efforts in the fight against crime.
