As someone who has used nothing but Custom ROMs for the past 8 years. I'll rather pick a feature-less NothingOS/PixelUI than the iOS knockoff that is OriginOS.
Software experience isn't always about features for everyone. Even familiarity plays a huge role for some

Lock screen sometimes takes some seconds to show.
Quick panel has always been laggy on OneUI.
Except this, it has been good by jitters on two year old flagship, S24, surely ruins the deal.
ColorOS & PixelUI are better in terms of smoothness. OneUI has too many features but lags.
oneui color pallette should also be improved and the colors should be fixed so that it is complete like pixelui, the color choices are very boring! several times this update there is no change.
1. PixelUI. Biased but it is the only skin apart from OneUI that isn't an iOS ripoff. And it looks much better than OneUI so easy dub.
2. ColorOS/OxygenOS. Feature list overwhelm. So intuitive and enjoyable to use.
3. OneUI. Stability king of android.
All else are trash
- putting ColorOS at first is really simple; it has the best customization (from lock->homescreen) and also smoothest. it just doesn't work well with launchers
- PixelUI has the worst customization, but it's simple and I love its aesthetic. it also works very well with launchers
exactly the reason why pixelui is so smooth even on a 6-7 years old phone, because they don't have shit to run.
when a 4 years old iphone fucking struggles with liquid glass
Most Android skins have had this feature for years, and they'll still look a million times better than the shitty blur implementation that pixelUI uses
more of an OS problem imo. PixelUI is a lot, and I mean A LOT lighter. even my Pixel 5 on PixelUI 16 beta (EvoX) runs pretty well.
exporting a video via capcut is so SO much slower on my Pixel 6 compared to my 11 Pro. or trimming the video inside the photos app is slow.
Coming from using iOS and PixelUI for quite some time, I'm not a fan of the aesthetics. But, I do accept that it is a MAJOR improvement over FuntouchOS, and seems like vivo is keen to polish up OriginOS for global users.
