ProcessMaker Developer

Job Summary:
The ProcessMaker Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business process workflows and automation solutions within the ProcessMaker BPM platform. The role involves translating business requirements into efficient process applications, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems, and maintaining high standards of performance, scalability, and user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and deploy custom workflows, forms, triggers, and dashboards within the ProcessMaker platform.
* Collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze process requirements and translate them into automated workflow solutions.
* Integrate ProcessMaker with core business systems (e.g., core banking, ERP, CRM, HR applications) using REST APIs, SQL, and other middleware tools.
* Develop and maintain scripts, plugins, and APIs to enhance platform functionality and performance.
* Optimize existing workflows for efficiency, scalability, and error reduction.
* Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of developed processes and integrations.
* Implement security best practices in workflow design and user access management.
* Maintain accurate documentation of all workflows, configurations, and custom developments.
* Support version upgrades, system patches, and platform improvements as required.
* Collaborate with the Application Support team to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
* Stay updated with new ProcessMaker releases and emerging BPM technologies to recommend continuous improvements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field.
* 3–5 years of experience in application development, workflow automation, or BPM platforms.
* Proven experience developing solutions using ProcessMaker (v3 or v4) — including workflow design, triggers, scripting, and API integrations.
* Strong proficiency in PHP, JavaScript, SQL, and REST APIs.
* Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and Linux/Windows server environments.
* Solid understanding of BPM principles, workflow lifecycle management, and automation design.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
