IV pharmacy calculation questions are very commonly asked on the PTCB exam. Here, we review a sample question. Try the question first before reading more about the correct answer on the second slide. As always with math questions: ☑️ensure that units are consistent throughout the question / answer process. ☑️never skip steps; always work line by line. ☑️ask yourself about the answer you arrive at: does it make sense? For instance, if 500mL is to be diluted, then the figure cannot be less than 500mL etc. ☑️you don't necessarily have to use formulae. As long as there is a logic to your answer method, that's what matters. Hope you found this sample test question / answer helpful to your study 🙂 #ptcbmath #pharmacytech #PTCB #ptcbexam #ptcbtest
