Almost ended up with my hippie braid from Goa to work today, remembered just in time! Have seen doctors in US and Africa turn up in braids at work with no impact on patient care! Brings me back to my earlier discussion.. #IndianTweeple Does a doctor need to look a certain way to earn your trust? Would red hair or a red braid change your perception? I guess I know the answer, but just sharing some #FoodForThought on perceptions! #RandomReflections

FB memories reminded me that red hair did not affect my practice adversely as a medical oncologist in Mauritius. Could I say the same about India? Will Mis-Selling in Banks Stop?🏦💰 Banks were once meant to focus on deposits and lending. Over time, they have turned into financial supermarkets selling insurance, mutual funds and other products, often leading to mis-selling and pressure on customers to buy policies they may not need. New draft guidelines from the Reserve Bank of India aim to curb such practices. But will they really work without strong monitoring and accountability? ✍️ @alwaysfranc reflects on the issue in his latest Random Reflections. 🔗 Read the full article: cenfa.org/will-mis-selling-i… #IndianBanking #RBI #FinancialRegulation #BankingReforms #RandomReflections #Accountability

Just finished reading *The Midnight Library* and wow, it really got me thinking about all the paths we don’t take. Like, what if I’d stuck with piano lessons instead of giving up after two weeks? 🎹 Life’s wild, innit? #BookThoughts #RandomReflections

I shared this in a Bible study group I belong to and I thought to share it here too. Joshua 5: 11–12 shows a major shift in Israel’s journey. After 40 years in the wilderness, they finally stepped into the land God promised them. A land flowing with milk and honey. During their wilderness season, God fed them daily with manna because the desert could not support farming and they were always on the move. They had no stable system for survival. So, God became their direct source. But the moment they entered the promised land and ate from its produce, the manna stopped. Not because God stopped caring. But because the season had changed. They could now plant, harvest, and sustain themselves from the richness of the land. Here is the lesson: Every season comes with its own kind of provision. What worked in one season may not continue in the next. When God moves us forward, He expects us to recognize the new resources He has placed around us. Holding on to the old way can make us miss the opportunities in front of us. May God give us discernment to understand our seasons, wisdom to use what He has provided now, and faith to trust Him through every transition. Amen.. #RandomReflections

#RandomReflections This Cup is over 20 years old. It belonged to my Mother (Pbuh). Isn’t it odd, how we hold onto THINGS we associate with LOVED ONES we’ve lost, thinking that holding onto the THING keeps us in Contact with the LOVED ONE who has long since returned to ALLAH…?

Some meetings are more than moments — they are mirrors held up to time. When we meet people after years, it’s not just faces that have changed, conversations matured. What binds us is not how often we meet, but the quiet recognition of shared time. In such reunions, we don’t just meet people. We meet fragments of who we were — and glimpses of who we’ve become. Cherish those who hold pieces of your past, for they remind you that the journey has been real — and worth it. #RandomReflections

How Rs 21,000 becomes Rs 15,00,000 in one month? Will RBI explain?💸🚫⚠️ A Facebook appeal, purportedly from Nirmala Sitharaman, encourages Indians to invest Rs 21,000 in an AI-powered investment platform. The appeal, which promises high returns, is being circulated on various platforms and by prominent figures. The author questions the lack of action from the Finance Ministry, RBI, and Cyber Crime Bureau, highlighting the need for government intervention to protect citizens from such fraud. 🖋️Writes Thomas Franco @alwaysfranc in his latest #RandomReflections cenfa.org/how-rs-21000-becom…

Finishing my slides while the speaker before me presents theirs. - Is it rude? - Just high-functioning procrastination laced with last minute panic? - A trust fall into my own delusion of overconfidence? - It’s just the natural consequence of thinking “I’ll wake up early and do it” every. single. time!!!! #RandomReflections #SelfQuiz

How to make the biggest public service serve Private Corporates- Learn from the BJP Government💳🏦 The Indian government issued a licence for a Payment Bank, rather than a Universal Bank, limiting its services to payments and partnerships with private lenders. This move, criticised for prioritising private interests over public service, has resulted in higher interest rates for customers and reduced the potential of India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) to serve rural areas effectively. The author questions the government’s actions, calling for greater scrutiny and accountability. Writes Thomas Franco @alwaysfranc in #RandomReflections this week. cenfa.org/how-to-make-the-bi…

Certain places exude a vibe that calms your soul. Even after you’ve moved on, every time you pass by the place, you feel the ease, the lightness, the peace it brought to you once. Do you have a place /a locality that comforts you with the familiarity of a home even when you no longer live/frequent there? It was J.P Nagar for me before I moved to the other side of Silk Board, and now Harlur has the same effects on me in #NammaBengaluru #RandomReflections
