The ratification violated the 14th Amendment and is therefore null and void.

Calling Trump's MOU "not even a deal" while simping for the JCPOA Bullshit deal is peak Libtard. Obama's "Nuclear Deal" wasn't even a treaty! It was a BullShit agreement Obama rammed through without Senate ratification, bypassing the Constitution because he knew it wouldn't pass. Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei & Iranian President; President Hassan Rouhani both did not sign it. Iran got sanctions relief and pallets of *unfrozen cash upfront, while 'verifying' nothing meaningful Iran lied to inspectors for years, hid military dimensions of its program (IAEA confirmed pre-2003 weaponization work and later concealment), and secretly pushed enrichment toward weapons capability even under the deal. Ramping up centrifuges, stockpiles, and 60% enrichment the second it suited them. Breakout time cratered, inspections were gamed with 24-day delays and denied access. That wasn't "verification" it was a surrender that funded terror proxies while Iran sprinted for the bomb and Obama and his admin knew it would ( see press sec. Josh Earnest below ).. Trump's approach uses leverage after strength (unlike the giveaway), gets the Strait open on a performance based deal with real incentives tied to good behavior, no blank US checks, and Gulf money conditional on actual denuclearization. Your cherry picking memory on the "gold standard" that failed so spectacularly is why nobody in their right mind takes these criticisms seriously. Bottom line: Thanks to this new agreement... * Oil is now flowing, * Proxies are checked & choked, * America First results over performative virtue-signaling.

After reading about the African Union Convention on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls and the historic ratification by the National Assembly of The Gambia, I am deeply encouraged by this significant milestone in the advancement of women's rights and gender justice across Africa. As a student of Legislative Studies and an advocate for strong and responsive legislatures, I am particularly inspired by the leadership demonstrated by the Gambian National Assembly in unanimously approving this landmark Convention. This action underscores the vital role that legislatures play not only in lawmaking but also in advancing social justice, protecting vulnerable populations, and translating regional commitments into meaningful national action. The Gambia's decision to become the first African nation to ratify this Convention sends a powerful message that ending violence against women and girls is not merely a policy aspiration but a legal and moral imperative. It reflects a commitment to strengthening accountability, safeguarding human rights, and promoting a society where women and girls can live free from violence, discrimination, and fear. I Commend the Government and National Assembly of The Gambia for this bold step and hope that other African countries will swiftly follow suit. The collective ratification and implementation of this Convention will be instrumental in building a continent that upholds the dignity, safety, and empowerment of all women and girls. The Gambia has set the pace. The hope now is that other African states will follow this exemplary path, ensuring that the Convention enters into force and delivers meaningful change for millions of women and girls across the continent.

Trump isn't sending his for ratification. And Obama sent his to Congress for legislative review, although not ratification.

I’m aware of his papal minimalism arguments. But even so, you still have an issue with Constantinople 1. No ratification. Broad acceptance. That’s the EO model.

Looking at the 22nd Amendment (to the US Constitution, of course): Ratification was somewhat retroactive. A President in office at ratification was allowed to finish a current third term. Not two more terms. Introduction of the Amendment was prospective. It didn't restrict a President serving on that date at all. Truman could have served five terms if he had the smarts and the votes for it.

This 1791 clipping shows how fast real centralization happened. Less than 2 years after ratification, the federal government was already creating a national bank, fighting an Indian war, pushing a uniform militia, and assuming state debts. Only the militia was clearly Constitutional. Hampshire and Berkshire Chronicle, Jan 05, 1791
