i told yall a few months back that the books yall are writing for kids aren't meeting the kids where they're at rn. the text level complexity is TOO HIGH. so you're only writing for a specific reader there's little of which impacts what books educators & librarians can buy.

Under #LetsREAD UWM conducts #readinglevel tests to measure the highest level that a child can easily read. This is not an evaluation and merely determines the level of books that the children can read so that we can provide them with appropriately curated multilingual book sets.

Every 15 days, the Adaptive Reading Program assesses each student's reading level, expressed in a Lexile value. Based on this, it automatically adapts the recommended books in the library to the students.
