Carney: Canada, to its great credit, did something unusual with those who came. It didn't require them to become something unrecognizable to themselves in order to belong. And it's the same bargain that we in Canada strike with every immigrant population.

Simp spotted. Na una dey encourage stupidity. Do you think an adult doesn't know wrong from right? Do you think it's everything that's solved through "sit down and talk?" Baba try get sense, this generation of women require tough and downright mean men, learn or perish, Shalom.

The only mindbender here is that Nadella mentions upcoming commoditization because of Ai, when Microsoft notoriously milks Windows & Office to prevent commodizing at all. Ditto for the large ERP firms; their wares require armies of clerks to even marginally work—et tu, Ai ?

@NimaYamini Mate, you constantly contradict yourself. I think you require psychiatric help and I sincerely hope you get the support you so obviously need
If you only interact with games through secondary means, like streamers and youtubers, then you're not a video game fan, you're a fan of escapism or of streamers/youtubers. Video GAMES require you to PLAY the GAMES, being a fan of them mean you being a fan of GAMING.

Maybe not term limits but a mandatory retirement age? That would effectively create term limits and maybe only require a rules change vs an amendment or law? Don’t know. I’m not a lawyer, but yea something has to change.

Doesn’t require $15-20/hour to do that job. Are you fucking stupid or have a mental limitation and not able to link things together? Every job does not require the same amount of effort. So why should everyone be paid the same?

Land going from 0 to 100. This is going to rock! I'm reading it now. Key takeaways: * Worksites stay the same except an iron plot will now be an Ore Mine and it can level up. * To make a refinement building you will have to pay all the resources upfront before you start constructing the building. * They will go all the way to level 10. A level 1 building will start with 10 worker slots and a 20K PP cap and each level will increase the worker slots by 5 and the PP cap by 10K. * When you construct a building it will be required to maintain 100% efficiency at all times and when you stake the DEC for that building it will go on that building specifically not to the whole region. * Cannot use Runi on buildings. * Buildings will have a production queue. * You can rent out your building. * We are getting Magical resources FINALLY. That alone is going to rock the land economy. And what new consumables will they come out with that will require them?

It’s a gorgeous summer’s evening here in Newcastle-under-Lyme. About to pack my bag for Parliament and have just been told that there will be *breaking news* at 9:30 tonight. The Assisted Dying Bill is going to brought back to the House. Bad, bad news.

@grok please answer each of the following questions as rigorously and thoroughly as you can. Assume only the following: The subjective “aha” moment is the direct experiential manifestation of a real physical transition in which a system’s own inherited organization becomes more causally consequential to its future than immediate environmental influence. If this statement is true, what follows? What does this mean for understanding? What does this mean for meaning? What does this mean for knowledge? What does this mean for truth? What does this mean for certainty? What does this mean for learning? What does this mean for memory? What does this mean for intelligence? What does this mean for creativity? What does this mean for discovery? What does this mean for scientific insight? What does this mean for mathematical insight? What does this mean for consciousness? What does this mean for subjective experience? What does this mean for selfhood? What does this mean for personal identity through time? What does this mean for agency? What does this mean for free will? What does this mean for the relationship between mind and matter? What does this mean for the relationship between information and physical reality? What does this mean for causation? What does this mean for emergence? What does this mean for organization? What does this mean for persistence? What does this mean for complex systems? What does this mean for thermodynamics? What does this mean for the origin of life? What does this mean for biological evolution? What does this mean for the emergence of intelligence? What does this mean for the emergence of consciousness? What does this mean for the hard problem of consciousness? What does this mean for artificial intelligence? What does this mean for machine understanding? What does this mean for the distinction between reacting and understanding? What does this mean for the distinction between simulation and genuine comprehension? What does this mean for the possibility of interiority in non-biological systems? What does this mean for neuroscience? What does this mean for cognitive science? What does this mean for philosophy of mind? What does this mean for epistemology? What does this mean for physics? What does this mean for the scientific study of observers? What does this mean for the future development of intelligent systems? Which major unsolved problems across science become easier to explain if this premise is true? Which major unsolved problems remain unchanged? Which entirely new questions emerge? Which consequences follow necessarily from the premise alone? Which consequences require additional assumptions? What is the deepest conclusion that follows if this premise is correct? What is the most surprising conclusion that follows if this premise is correct? What is the most scientifically disruptive conclusion that follows if this premise is correct? If future generations eventually accepted this premise as an ordinary scientific fact, what would they regard as the most important implication that people today are failing to recognize?

I can, but it’s more about being able to grab something easy, that I don’t have to cook/ask my hubs to cook. That doesn’t really exist in this country. Easy, affordable, healthy, and doesn’t require cooking don’t exist in the same sentence. I’m just having a rough day :(
