Any container plant—whether large or small, houseplant, or landscape featured planting—eventually will become root bound. When that happens, the roots lose efficiency and need to be reduced by about a third to return to health.🌿
For larger container plants such as this Yucca, root reduction and repotting is best done outdoors. Reducing the rootball will allow the plant to flourish and be healthy. 🌿

When root pruning is complete, repot the plant in fresh potting soil, choosing a container with larger volume, but with the same depth as the the prior pot.🌿
Apply liquid fertilizer at about a quarter of the label-specified concentration or apply foliar fertilizer by spray to the plant's foliage to give it a post-planting boost.🌿
