Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers were proud to support the RTBU NSW Locomotive Division Delegate Conference held on 9-10 June 2026. Partner Scott Dougall addressed the conference on Tuesday. Our Senior Associates Sabrina Morell and Thomas Ryan were also in attendance on Wednesday

Thank you so much Jorgen. If Saffioti claims to support rail safety she should be right behind this bill. The union RTBU will be in her ear though. Big political donors so this will test how much she actually cares about rail safety.

Hilarious how the replies are like "Sydney Metro is Sydney Trains without the RTBU"... really going to get people out of their cars with that selling point

Wasn't my decision but I hear what you are saying - Parramatta operates at 3 mins headways from P1 every peak One bonus is no major disruptions from industrial action from the RTBU - they are a greater curse to the network than any other cause

RTBU could only dream of these rules.
Striking union LIRR locomotive engineer George Barreto, picketing MTA headquarters Monday, on the job for 28 years. Lives in Philly. Makes ~$200,000/year. He says of work rules requiring 3x day’s pay if asked to drive 3 different trains on a shift… (1/2)

Well we never need to worry about the RTBU calling industrial action for a start. Delays can be recovered quicker again bc no train crew. It's fully accessible to those with mobility impairment - no need to request a ramp operated by people Think of it as better v good

Thankyou RTBU for ruining the nights of thousands of reactionaries (NRL-oids). Truly a proletarian vanguard.

"SEQTA is urging the Queensland Government and the RTBU to come to a quick and fair resolution that prioritises worker safety and fair pay, as to not chokehold commuters at this time." - I said this evening in a statement to the public
