Now that I've completed my climb out of Jezero Crater, I'm back to #SamplingMars! My 26th sample, known as "Silver Mountain," has textures unlike anything we've seen before. I've sealed the rock core in a sample tube so it can be analyzed in labs on Earth in the future.

Abrasion patch at Serpentine Rapids !!! Lots of water interaction in a conglomerate rock. Just lovely! Sol 1240 #samplingmars #pixl Some flakes broke off when abrading so unlikely it can be cored too.. or maybe with the regolith head

New place in the Neretva Channel New interesting popcorn 🍿 rocks Also lots of water interaction and Running the length of the rock are large white calcium sulfate veins. Sol 1220 find other signs of life ! 🧬 #samplingmars #Perseverance

LOVE getting to show off #samplingMars models - this time we have full-scale models of Perseverance’s coring bit and MSR’s glorious Orbiting Sample (OS) container that will house our precious sample tubes on their return journey to Earth. 🤓
