Okay, so? The fact that DC is now operating under a new brand and new leadership still matters. Matt Reeves may have creative control over The Batman universe, but that doesn't change the reality that DC Studios now exists under James Gunn and Peter Safran, whereas the first The Batman was developed under Walter Hamada, who even had an executive producer credit on the film. Nobody is arguing that Gunn and Safran can walk in and rewrite Reeves' scripts, but pretending the broader corporate landscape hasn't changed is just ignoring how these franchises actually operate. If Warner Bros. really wanted to interfere, delay, or redirect things, they're still the ones writing the checks at the end of the day 😅
