Exactly.
We still have a very long way to go in Nigeria and across Africa.
What separates us from countries that are progressing is simple: They create solutions, we mostly consume knowledge.
Everybody wants a job. Everybody wants to “learn” another course. But very few are thinking: “How do I solve this problem in my environment?” “How do I build something that creates value for thousands?”
We have abundant talent. What we lack is intentional community (creatives, thinkers, builders, and problem-solvers) coming together to produce real work, not just certificates.
Enough of the endless “learn this, learn that.” We already have people with skills. It’s time to organize them, fund them, connect them, and let them build.
Let’s start building stronger communities of doers.
We can do better - JEDAAR 💪🏽
It’s time we start speaking up and building stronger communities for creatives.
Too many talented people are losing opportunities simply because they say they’re from Nigeria.
That shouldn’t be our reality.
We need to support each other, raise the standard, and change the narrative so where we’re from doesn’t work against us.
