Lowkey, I’d recommend just having the blinks be shape keys instead of having the eyelids weight painted and rigged, then you could have the shapekey be controlled by a bone with drivers

I just sculpted the shapekey manually for best results of the deformation at X rootation, and then trigger it gradually with contact receiver and senders, that's the most elegant way
