Firstly, this edition really fills a tremendous void in the realm of Rambam - especially in English.
As always, the translation is superlative and the commentary excellent. As someone who has previously worked on translating the Rambam for other projects in English (some of the most difficult parts, Kiddush HaChodesh et al.), this is excellent in its clarity.
Of course I enjoyed the Rebbe's commentary, as it is as necessary to today's Torah scholar as the Baal Shem Tov and Chassidus is as necessary to understand parts of Tanach. The Halachic commentary seems great as well.
Where this volume shines is the slim form factor and tasteful tzuros hadaf. Pages are perfectly not slim, but not at all cheap. Feels great in the hand.
As always, the font for me is a problem - I would love bigger, and I know what's coming the sizing and unique Stensaltz font, which I have learned not to hate, but struggle with. That being said, as my near-sightedness gets compromised by my far-sightness, it has become easier.
Kol Hakavod on an awesome job! I am considering starting a 'lunch and learn' using this Sefer in our community!
