I appreciate your trust! The truth is that I'm far from pushing the type-level boundaries in Scala, Rust and Haskell. There is a huge crowd in each with people who dig as deep as possible. All those libraries like shapely in Scala, singletones in Haskell and something like that in Rust. I'm quite sure nobody from this crowd will even consider reading my work because they would see it amateurish and childish. But the point is to use a limited yet powerful subset of features and concepts to achieve pragmatic results. OCaml is great. I don't give up with it. I just want to finish the book ASAP and make my point appealing. Maybe in the future, I'll add Rosetta Stone for OCaml, too

Singletones are not bad. What is bad is hardcoding references to them, because it makes your code much harder to test and isolate. Passing singleton references as default parameters is a good design pattern, you get the benefit of singletons while keeping your code testable.

i use hilt for dependency injection on android.its a wrapper of dagger which generates boilerplate factory code for singletones on kotlin that wraps java code. android only provides interfaces to intract with os. debuging it is carzy task.
