monday used to mean something different 2021. 6am alarm. drove to a pharmaceutical plant in northern italy. full protective gear before sunrise. chemical processes. strict safety protocols. every mistake had real consequences. punched out at 4pm. drove home. opened the laptop. that's when the real work started. 2022 i quit to start SkyClouds. everyone had something to say about it. "you have a stable job andrea. benefits. security." they weren't wrong about the stability. but nobody talks about what it actually costs to spend 8 hours a day executing someone else's process manual. and then go home and build the thing you actually care about. on stolen hours. on weekends. on 11pm when everyone's asleep. now mondays are different. same 6am. my son doesn't care what day it is. same laptop. different reason to open it. it's still uncertain. still hard. revenue still doesn't match that factory salary. but it's mine. and that's the only monday motivation i've ever needed.
