Amen!
That is why I am a devout Catholic after my youth was spent being Agnostic (or some would have called me Atheist). I studied the claims from many religions and the last one I came back to was my actual Catholic roots because I felt I did not give it a "fair shake". I mean, if I was going to give every single one a "honest to God look" into their beliefs, I might as well look deep into them.
So I could not refute some important concepts.
1. Finding out, "The real meaning of Life or why God created the Universe was to ensure we as mortal souls need to learn Love and Humility." This was evident by the Thief on the Cross (St. Dismas) when he showed Jesus in that very moment true Humility. It was not just his profession to believe in Jesus, but his statement Luke 23, "Do you not fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? And we indeed justly; for we are receiving the due reward of our deeds; but this man has done nothing wrong." Those words, "we are receiving the due reward of our deeds" is a pure demonstration of Humility.
2. Then I could not find any evidence where Jesus revoked what was given in John 20:19-23. Those are very expressive words to be said by God incarnate of man.
3. The final nail that solidified it for me is the realization that God can see the entire timeline. God, through his supernatural power to "speak and it happens", is willing us all into existence every second of every day. When he stops, then the timeline stops. Understanding that God is the master of the timeline means that God can put himself anywhere into that timeline. So he did it 2,000 years ago so that you and I could be having this conversation here and now. That means 2,000 years ago, he was foreshadowing everything. This being evident when He told the 12 that he would be betrayed and crucified. They did not believe Him, but it all went down exactly as He foretold. So His statement in John 6:35-58 was him foreshadowing the Last Supper because in Luke He uses the words, "EARNESTLY DESIRED to have this meal".
