UNICEF AND ANSACA STRENGTHEN PARTNERSHIP TO ADVANCE HIV RESPONSE IN ANAMBRA STATE, NIGERIA
The Anambra State AIDS Control Agency (ANSACA) today hosted a strategic partnership meeting with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) aimed at strengthening the State’s HIV response.
The UNICEF delegation, led by Mrs Juliet Enujioke, Programme Associate, representing Dr. Ifeyinwa Anyanyo, Health Specialist, UNICEF, was received by the Executive Director of ANSACA, Dr. Nkem Okeke, alongside management staff and unit leads of the Agency.
Discussions focused on strengthening collaborative efforts towards achieving the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets and advancing the implementation of the ANSACA State Strategic Transformation and Sustainability Plan (SSTSP) 2026–2028, with emphasis on HIV prevention, paediatric HIV care, Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT), and adolescent and youth-friendly services.
The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of the Anambra State Government, under the leadership of Mr Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, CFR, and UNICEF to building a stronger, sustainable, and people-centred HIV response for Ndi Anambra, especially women, children, and young people.
