ゆまちのSTEPsequenceについてリンクのサイズに苦戦もしながら調整してる様子を書いてくれてる
STEPのダイナミックな展開が少し押さえられちゃったかも
Some issues in the step sequence because the width of the rink is too small.
In yesterday’s run-thru, he botched that RFI-Bracket (at the beginning of this clip), fell and hit the board (coz the rink is too narrow and he was too close to the board).
Therefore he’s a bit tentative here psychologically, making sure he didn’t get too close to the board in that Bracket. But as a result of that, he was too close to the center of the ice when he did the “open-the-door-and-run” part, leaving him insufficient room to perform his right-foot cluster.
Therefore he was a little unsure entering that cluster, and did not hit his knee actions weight transfer well enough, leading to a very shallow exit edge of the RBO-Counter and a meh RFO-Twizzle.
Then he was still (expectedly) too close to the board, so he botched the following LBO-Choctaw (not affecting levels coz he already did a double-Choctaws before, but still…)
I hate small rinks, they do not fit Yumachi.🙇♀️
He still got high GOE? For sure. And I’m not gonna pretend I didn’t feel relieved. But sometimes judges just fail to reward the right things while crediting some mediocre stuff, of which we are ofc unsurprised.
