last night i met with my sponsor, and now i’m about to go to my last AA meeting for a whole month. i hit a huge milestone in my stepwork and now i get to be done and enjoy it

was talking to this homeless guy abt recovery and he was like u been doin stepwork and i was like yo like lowkey not really and he gave me the funniest side eye of all time

Fought another day and came out undisturbed better off then I was yesterday and more importantly clean and sober . Yesterday I was visiting the rehab where I spend 101 days at and heard of a lot of ou's i was either in program or who were there just before me relapse as well as I saw some of them back in program (in treatment) due to relapsing my first instinct is to have compassion , sympathy and feel sad for them but my next instinct is to thank the God of my understanding that I am not them and that I am still clean and sober. Relapses doesn't mean you weak and you're a lost cause it merely suggest you weren't working your program the way you should have worked it . RECOVERY ONLY WORKS IF YOU WORK IT . You have to put your recovery above everything and everyone else and hold your 5 pillars the closest.
