This is correct. We tried to sneak in another app to see if Spotify would approve the API, so we could redirect it to StreamGate. And they denied that one too and made up random reasons why that app shouldn’t exist either lol

Haven’t really told a bunch of people, but this year, I went back to school for a business degree so that I could be more well-rounded and have more options for myself. 4.0 GPA on a 15 credit semester while working on Junior Jr. as a brand, while working on StreamGate, while creating content and recording music, while fulfilling a project mgmt contract, while hitting my goals in the gym, while still having time for a life. Big year of proving to myself that I can do anything if I just put the work in.

While I have everyone from Lukso here, StreamGate needs your help! It's been an ongoing battle trying to get extended access to Spotify API without using a third party. The third party we've partnered with has a data refresh rate that would make for horrible user experience. And to explain the issue, Spotify denied our API application because they don't like the way we use their data to encourage more streaming. However! There are many examples of people that get the API extension, and then pivot their original use case to something that would normally have gotten them denied in the first place, and Spotify just never takes the time to revisit these things. So what we've done is created the most simple use case ever, one that they wouldn't have any problems with, because it's just a simple visualizer! Like when you used to listen to music on windows media player in the early 2000s. If we can get 25 people connected to this, we can submit for API extension, and then redirect it back to StreamGate. Sometimes, you gotta do what you gotta do to innovate by any means. The Visualizer is on the grid! You can see it on @bozp_pzob's UP labeled "VisAmp". Great post. I completely agree. This is by no means a counteropinion, but rather my point of view. First, let’s look back at the current situation. The reason why everyone prefers Web2 social platforms is simply because there are lots of people there. And why are there lots of people? It’s likely just the first-mover advantage of social platforms. From another perspective, it’s because there are incentives to attract users or monetize on these platforms. These systems are working well enough for now, and since they don’t inconvenience most people, the reality is that no matter how much we criticize the flaws of Web2 companies or services, there’s (for now) no need to switch to Web3. It is natural and obvious bcz even we(as Web3) use Twitter like this now. Therefore, for Web3 to rise, a major trigger—like widespread censorship on Web2, the collapse of services or companies—could be one catalyst. However, it’s uncertain whether such events will even happen. From another angle, I think Web3 needs to offer a value proposition tied to its unique ecosystem. What could bring incentives to regular users is, in particular, a strength of Web3. Especially with LUKSO, I believe it has strong potential to deliver new value beyond just financial incentives. A concrete example would be StreamGate, and I hope to see more projects like this emerge and gain traction moving forward.
