The Nigerian government understands something many people pretend not to see. If anything were to happen to the leadership structure that keeps the movement aligned, it would create a vacuum. And in political struggles, vacuums are dangerous. Those who constantly attack DOS should reflect carefully. If IPOB were weakened or scattered, many would suddenly realize that internal division only benefits those who want the struggle to end. When unity collapses, external forces gain control of the narrative. And once a movement loses its structure, its voice becomes easier to silence. The strength of any liberation movement lies in discipline, unity, and strategic awareness. The current DOS members understand how the Nigerian political system operates. They understand surveillance, infiltration, propaganda, and divide and rule tactics. That understanding is one reason the struggle remains active despite heavy pressure. If the goal is self determination, then the path forward is not internal sabotage. It is focus. It is education. It is strategic thinking. It is peaceful but firm advocacy. History shows that movements collapse more often from internal fractures than from external opposition. Supporting a cause means strengthening its structure, not weakening it. It means asking hard questions respectfully, resolving disagreements internally, and refusing to amplify narratives that undermine the movement’s stability. The future of any struggle depends on vigilance. Study political history. Study how governments respond to dissent. Study how movements succeed or fail. Awareness is protection. If people truly want to see progress, then unity and discipline must come first. Division is the quickest route to collapse. Stay vigilant. Stay informed.
