Imagine throwing your life’s work into a dumpster.
That’s exactly what I did last weekend.
Instead of being on stage for the 17th
@ThatConference, I stood in a hot cornfield with
@BrettSlaski and Carrie, pulling hand-built pieces of the past out of two shipping containers… and into a dumpster. I have no words to describe that feeling.
Why share this?
Because nobody talks about what happens in the shadows, after the dream changes. Not the Instagram version. The real, messy, emotional version.
Here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:
❇️ You can outgrow something that once defined you.
❇️ Letting go hurts, even when it’s right.
❇️ There’s power in grieving, but more in moving forward.
❇️ Reinvention doesn’t wait for the perfect plan.
My next chapter isn’t about events, it’s about building bridges between human potential and AI. That’s where I’m headed with Unspecified.
I’m pouring everything into one effort, one company. It's time to take my obsession for people, community, software, efficiency, and turn that into helping companies and their employees unlock their fullest potential using the tools of today and AI.
Follow along as I build this in the open. The new chapter starts now.
