I think they are terminating at a stop prior to mine but I had to ask here because the guy didn’t bother telling us. He has now just announced it stops at Newport like it was always the plan 🙄

Two ticketing trials, two very different results:
🏴 requires almost no explanation and is basically guaranteed to give you a cheaper ticket
🏴 has required extensive explanation and has resulted in an increase in fares for most passengers
ALT a screenshot of a tweet from ScotRail saying "off peak fares, all day long"
ALT a screenshot of a tweet from LNER pitching their limited ticket trial, linking to a "for full details" page and with a pretty damning community note explaining how it's a pretty bad deal all round

Well our #TexasEagle adventure on @Amtrak has been an exercise in patience. Our trip from Mineola to Ft. Worth on Friday was delayed Seven (7) HOURS, so far our return trip is one hour & forty-five minutes delayed. Let's see if we can break their previous record. #TrainFail
