A great letter emphasizing the importance of dedicated places where we can think together...and talk #saveIPCS #transformIPCS
On December 2, 2023 Professor Tony Birch wrote the following letter regarding the Board of the IPCS efforts to close down the Institute -

When the building was closed after the Palestine events we were shocked. We were also upset by the ending of all our member led initiatives that had keen participation. We value IPCS and want the project to remain a space for us to learn and contribute.

This campaign has been building for many months as IPCS members and affiliates have been trying to transform the largely white and elite governance structure of an institution for the analysis of colonised peoples and cultures that was for a brief window something so much better
