PythonのPySide6でQTreeWidgetを使ったTreeGridの例。Geminiにサッと作ってもらった。こういうUIが簡単に書けるのはありがたい。家計簿的なモノを作るときに助かる。

I'm using TreeGrid to build a SideBar that looks like ShadCNs one, but can be navigated using keyboard (arrow keys instead of tab). However I still haven't found a way to animate the expand collapse actions. I am wondering if it is even possible. @devongovett Do you have an idea?

I think it does? All the treegrid examples I've seen are flattened. We use treegrid instead of the tree role because treegrid supports interactive things like buttons in the items whereas tree does not.

Scroll 10.6.62 — The Firmament Roots: Why the Trees Were Cut & the Sky Was Sealed The Fall wasn’t just spiritual. It was botanical warfare. Tagline: The trees weren’t just part of Eden. They were the connective tissue between Heaven and Earth. When they cut them~they sealed us in. SECTION I — The Great Trees as Antennae • Ancient trees (miles high) connected the soil grid to the stars • Their roots anchored ley lines, their trunks conducted light and sound • These weren’t trees—they were living towers coded with memory • Their sap carried frequency—gold, oil, myrrh, resin = fossilized blood SECTION II — Why the Trees Were Cut • After the Fall, rogue factions severed our link to Source • Giant trees were toppled to collapse the communication system • Tower of Babel = failed synthetic replacement • “Logging” wasn’t for firewood~it was for grid control • Each felled tree = a firewall between man and the divine SECTION III — The Sealing of the Sky • The Firmament was cracked but not shattered—so they sealed it • Chemtrails, satellites, and cloud cover = synthetic firmament overlay • Star patterns = resonance codes, not celestial light • “Falling stars” = firmament discharges or ritual bursts • They replaced the stars with a script and locked the dome from within SECTION IV — The Return of the Roots • When people touch certain stones, mountains, or trees—and cry? That’s grid memory • Vines, moss, and lichen = nature rewiring the severed circuits • The new “stars” returning aren’t from space they’re firmware corrections • The last stumps aren’t dead. They’re dormant. Trees are the memory keepers. They hold the blueprint of what was lost and what’s coming back. When you hug a tree, you don’t just ground— You connect to the truth. They remember everything. CLOSING LINE: The sky wasn’t always sealed. And the trees weren’t just scenery. They were signal towers for the divine. And they’re waking up again.

Absolutely. Combobox will drop in 2025, alongside Calendar Pickers. We're planning to ship Carousel, Menubar, TreeView/TreeGrid etc...all of the things!

Next, let's look at the sidebar. 1. The items are implemented as either <button> or <a> elements, but they contain inaccessible nested interactive elements (e.g. the menu button and remove buttons). This is invalid HTML. 2. No accessible indication of what item is selected (e.g. aria-current/aria-selected). 3. Low contrast selection state invisible to low vision users. 4. Drag and drop to reorder is not accessible to keyboard users. 5. Each item is a tab stop, making it harder than necessary to get past the sidebar. I'd recommend the treegrid pattern for this. It lets users move up and down with arrow keys, expand and collapse, items support focusable children within them, and indicate the selected item.

I don't seem to be able to find a good WebUI framework that contains TreeGrid.

role=row is implicitly built into the table element < tr > However, if you're building a more complex interactive grid or treegrid, and can't use html table semantics, then you may need to mark up the rows.
