🚨 El hackeo más épico (y vergonzoso) de la historia de Twitter 😱 El 15 de julio de 2020, el mundo se paralizó frente a sus pantallas. De repente, cuentas verificadas de Barack Obama, Elon Musk, Joe Biden, Bill Gates, Apple, Uber, Kanye West y otras 130 cuentas de alto perfil empezaron a publicar el mismo tweet: “Estoy devolviendo el favor a la comunidad. Todos los bitcoins que envíen a esta dirección serán duplicados en 30 minutos. ¡No se pierdan esta oportunidad!” En cuestión de minutos, los hackers recaudaron más de 120.000 dólares en Bitcoin antes de que Twitter pudiera reaccionar. 🫢 ¿Cómo lo lograron? No fue un superhacker rompiendo firewalls. Fue ingeniería social pura: llamaron por teléfono a empleados de Twitter haciéndose pasar por el departamento de TI, los engañaron y obtuvieron acceso a las herramientas internas de la plataforma. Con eso, pudieron tomar control de cuentas verificadas sin necesidad de contraseñas de los famosos. Un chico de 17 años de Florida (Graham Ivan Clark) fue señalado como el cerebro del ataque. Terminó arrestado junto con otros cómplices. Este hackeo no solo robó dinero. Demostró que ninguna cuenta está a salvo si la empresa que la protege tiene fallos graves de seguridad. Twitter tardó horas en recuperar el control y tuvo que suspender temporalmente todas las cuentas verificadas. Lección de oro: Activa siempre la autenticación de dos factores (mejor con app, no SMS).
