Days 81 - 83 on : ⚡️ Built a mobile version of the all in two weeks (with CC and now use Opus 4.5 mostly). Insane. 🍀 New version of backend in TyoeScript (ported from Python) is now private beta. These new coding models are so good it’s ridiculous. IMHO the biggest benefits are for planning and organizing tasks, creating progress reports (with crazy good detail). The process to think, plan, and organize your software projects are more important than ever.

1. 3 new programming languages( node,tyoescript,tailwind, python) 2. Driving licence 3. First vacation to nyali / first air travel/ first train travel 4. My first 100,000ksh 5. My new laptop (40k) and new phone (30k) 6. Moved to nairobi from maseno, not to go and work but for exposure 7. My first business (photography) 8. Successfully from maseno University (14th) 9. I read over 10 books on finances 10. Petty ones 😅 》used uber,bolts for the first time) ALL THIS SINGLE HANDEDLY

The harder you work the luckier you get. I month ago I decided to port the backend from Python (Django) to TyoeScript (Nextjs). Alas, now we can _really_ go full stack with Nextjs. Productivity boost esp with LLMs has been insane!

Days 38/39 on X: ⚡️ We have a Python BE (Django) and have decided to migrate to TyoeScript BE. Need to do this iteratively. 😬 Still grinding on creating Mermaid diagrams and getting the parsing right. Lesson: the stack matters. Having a unified language and type system for front and back will help us iterate faster 🤞

We could have been able to write .NET Framework DLLs to load into SQL Server in TyoeScript!

I feel like a year or two ago you were very unlikely to see a monorepo for this, but it’s much more common now, especially in next land. I think once people understand the power of monorepos they will love it. TyoeScript and Turborepo should be defaults.

There's been some confusion from readers on JSR being a TyoeScript registry, so for clarity: 🔶 TS files are uploaded to JSR during publishing 🔶 Deno consumers of JSR fetch TypeScript 🔶 npm consumers of JSR fetch precompiled JS DTS

On the other hand, unknown is the “top type” for TyoeScript, meaning that every type is a subtype of it. And that’s why you can pass anything to a function that accepts unknown.

I’ve been using Cursor exclusively as my code editor lately and it’s absolutely the future. Interacting with it feels like helping a junior developer build things. Some things it absolutely excels at (like converting Python to TyoeScript 🤯)

I'm doing a cool session on this for Boston Code Camp in March. Build your own Copilot including RAG techniques. Languages used in our Copilot, c#, Rust, SQL, Python, and Node.js (Tyoescript). We build on top of semantic-kernel.
