I shared a thought about rewriting a couple of days ago. It didn’t move. Then I watched versions of it spreading everywhere like fire. Fitting, really. The idea proved itself by being rewritten.

Some say poetry is
breath of the spirit
true taste of an aura
sweet scents of secrets
the honey tip of an arrow
the earth's axis in spiral
a creation of Calliope,
answered prayer to St. David,
but it is the open heart--
unabashed and eager
to grace the soul of another
absent fear or regret
pure nectar of emotion--
that dreamed still bouquet
which suddenly blooms real.
