Islamic doctrine explicitly frames the supremacy (or dominance) of Islam as central. This is not incidental but rooted in core texts and classical interpretations.
Quran 9:33 (repeated in 48:28 and 61:9): “It is He who has sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail [or dominant] over all religion, even though the disbelievers hate it.” This is presented as a divine mandate for Islam’s ultimate superiority.
• Quran 3:110: “You [Muslims] are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah.” This positions the Muslim ummah (community) as morally and religiously superior, with a mission to guide humanity.
