Those were not participated fans that got free Xboxes there were dumb ass influencers.

The united states is fundamentally structured like a Dave and Busters D&B prints the tickets, you can redeem them for xboxes, plastic toys or cool hats, always for multiples lower than the actual value If you were smart, you'd save enough up to buy a machine that prints the tickets (business)

Seems like it should literally be the mantra of any industry. Who benefits from designing something that won’t appeal to the majority of the people who own Xboxes and gaming PCs? Not the people who moved across the country (or world) and are now laid off.

Xboxes are literally selling out and Microsoft really said “let’s burn all that goodwill”

I think part of the plan is also to start getting xboxes sold again which with consistent large name exclusives and a focus on tue xbox brand and making it accessible to the intended consumer is possible. I guess the argument is whether its likely.

Maybe I’m too out of touch with modern video games but I literally have never heard of any games made by these studios outside of the walking sim from ninja theory. Then again Xbox has lost so much market share here barely anyone stocks the current Xboxes

When the poor have xboxes, ps5s, internet, cell phones and get govt freebies, you know the system is broken.

but fans got free Xboxes!
Several Xbox Studios are in active negotiations with XBOX to spin off as they try to avoid closure 🎮 It includes: • Ninja Theory • Compulsion Games • Double Fine Many employees will likely lose their jobs as a result (via @Bloomberg)

Microsoft invited the fanboys and influencers, and the media gave them free shit, spent extravagantly on them, then sent them home to report on how amazing Fan Fest and the Xbox showcase were. 3 individuals from Xboxera received free 25th-anniversary Xboxes. It's fcking gross

I have become aware that Rev 1.6 OG Xboxes do NOT have the capacitor issue. This would explain why my OG OG hasn't died yet. I'm 90% sure this Halo Edition is also a Rev 1.6, but I'm still gonna open her up and check when I get the chance.

Gonna sound cruel but that's not up to me. Should Pepsi lovers feel bad for coca cola employees of vice versa. If you're so worries, you should get more people to buy Xboxes, why support the rivals? You want them to lose their jobs faster? They provide a service, I enjoy it

Why waste half a grand on the worthless XSX for vackwards co patibility? With the 500 you would waste on the XSX, you can buy all three past gen xboxes and, like, 20 games. XSX is a complete waste of money if youre looking for backwards compatibility.

I think console manufacturers should differentiate themselves on hardware. Not exclusives. However that's not how the majority feels. And now that PlayStation has doubled down on exclusivity, The only Way Forward is to triple down on exclusivity from Xbox too. Game pass is better than the Playstation subscription they offer. The console hardware is technically better in the Series X vs the Ps5. The cloud gaming is better on Xbox. But people are still refusing to buy the Xbox because their friends play Playstation and because Playstation still has exclusive games. It's stupid. I think we should want more freedom not less. But at the end of the day, the majority of the Xbox base wants exclusives. Ps5 abandoned letting their games go everywhere. So the way to bring Xbox back and make people buy Xboxes is sadly going to be making all of their games go exclusive. Or most of them. And they have enough games to do it. Not to mention the fact that they are going to start actually releasing games rather than sitting on their hands for 10 years like they have been. Ditching these game studios that are just fun indie creative projects. I'm actually giving a nuanced take that while I don't like exclusives I think they have to do exclusives at this point to be healthy. Just because the toxic culture of gaming has created such a way. But instead of seeing that nuance you try to clip me on X just to make me look bad. It's really silly

I swear you disingenuous PlayStation fanboys will be the death of me… Until they denounce Gears being console exclusive to XBOX, it’s safe to say that they will continue to make Xboxes.

Those free Xboxes for the crowd was some bread and circuses shit
Difficult to comment on specifics until it's 100%, but it sounds like it's going to be another grim, grim summer for Xbox employees. All of this a week after one of its best showcases (and a lavish LA fan fest and celebration). Just baffles the mind

We don’t need more console wars. We should be able to chose whatever without being judged. I’m a PlayStation girl but it doesn’t mean I burn Xboxes and shoot to people who picked wrong 🤷‍♀️
